A picky eater with lots of allergies reviews a plain burger at the Auburn Tavern.
The Classic Burger

Mamma Mia
I’m always wary when I order a burger. Will I enjoy it or will it sit like a lump in my stomach for the rest of the day. Thankfully, the Classic Burger at the Auburn Tavern was pretty good as far as burgers go. A large patty cooked perfectly medium well placed on a large kaiser roll. It was actually quite tasty. The fries, however, were a different story. The first one started out okay. Maybe a tad too salty, but tolerable. The second fry made me nervous. Something was wrong. I don’t know what it was, but Dan tried the fries and said they were just fine. Still, he doesn’t have the refined palate I have, so what does he know. The fries were not okay. I left them alone on the plate and continued with the burger. It might have been the excessive hunger, but by the time there were only bun crumbs on the plate, I decided the burger was really good. If only the fries could match that goodness, this might have been a five star meal.
