A picky eater with lots of allergies reviews a plain burger at CJ Cannons
Plain Burger

Go Away
The two toasted, but soft, buns surrounding the massive beef patty on my plate reminded me of a shrunken head atop dense skeletal remains. The CJ Cannons Burger, flattened and hard, reminded me of a fast food burger, but twice the diameter. The bun was good, but I do love bread so that’s not surprising. The fries appeared good, but were just meh. They could have used more salt. Maybe I need to adopt Dan’s salt habit. I chose to slather them in ketchup instead. The burger had a grassy taste that took me a moment to define…maybe onion? Definitely onion…yuck! I don’t mind onion when it’s shaped into a circle then drenched in breading and deep fried, but in my burger it was overwhelming. I consumed about a third then stopped. No need for an upset stomach on our upcoming three hour flight. Once we checked in and boarded our flight, I happily enjoyed the complimentary Lorna Doone shortbread cookies.
