Pot Roast
So Many Choices
Dan enjoys eating and with the huge menu offered by Doesn’t Matter, it was clear decision making wasn’t going to come easy. He contemplated his options and settled on the pot roast. His meal started with the house salad drenched in balsamic vinaigrette. Served in the smallest possible bowl, tiny diced tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots laid on a bed of lettuce topped with shredded cheese and croutons. His pot roast arrived in a plastic basket and Dan added a generous sprinkle of salt before taking his first bite. The charred meat accompanied by lumpy potatoes and gravy had the mark of scratch made. Dan exclaimed that everything was cooked to perfection, but was a little too salty. Perhaps he shouldn’t have added so much salt before tasting…live and learn, I guess, or not. I blame his sodium levels when it came to rating his meal. Dan really wanted to give the gravy a seven, however, I rate the entire meal and my system only goes up to five stars. Dan reconsidered and gave his meal three and three-quarters stars. Again, messing with my system as I can only grant full and half stars. In the end, he settled on four stars due to presentation and excess salt.
