Captain’s Fish & Chips
Time to Rethink Our Choices
Dan loves The Muddy Moose just as much as I do. However, he’s noticed over the past few years that the blueberry barbecue sauce that he once had drizzled over wings is no longer available. This time, I took it upon myself to ask and guess what? It still exists renamed as Muddy Moose Trail Sauce. Still, Dan went with the Captain’s Fish and Chips. Two fillets of haddock with a hefty portion of fries and a side of coleslaw. Dan really enjoyed the first piece of fish. Lightly breaded and as expected for a really good fish and chips dish for being so far from the ocean. He even enjoyed the coleslaw. He said he wouldn’t rave about it, but it had a bit of a kick, not a spice, but something. Dan devoured the whole thing. And then he cut into the second piece of fish. Tough as hell (excuse his French!). Very thick and very overcooked, Dan was unable to eat it. Regardless, he decided overall it was a generous portion and he really couldn’t complain. I think next time we visit The Muddy Moose, he’ll choose a dish with the Trail Sauce.
