Play Your Cards Right

After we placed our order at the counter, we were handed an oversized playing card for our table. I thought this was a very clever and unique way of letting the servers identify what meals go where. I’m not sure how they knew which cards were inside or outside, but they seemed to be delivering dishes at a rapid pace, so surely they either had psychic powers or were just that good.

Mexican Delight

Our meals arrived, hot and fresh, but the server quickly took mine back – the next post will tell you why. I encouraged my dad, Al, to dig in while I waited for a new burger and he did. The soft tortilla shell was stuffed with generous bits of juicy chicken and crispy hickory smoked bacon. A small bowl of salsa sat on the plate next to the quesadilla which allowed Al to dip chunks of quesadilla for the perfect bite every time. Al doesn’t like spicy heat, but this salsa has a sight kick which is just enough. I know Al will definitely be back for lunch again the future and maybe I’ll join him. And maybe I’ll even try the quesadilla. But without the bacon. And without the salsa.
