Throughout the years, Martha and I have gotten together with plans to become better humans. Better with organizing, better with time management, better with self care, and better with eating. Although I assured her she could have whatever she liked, I was surprised Martha planned to order a burger. The Engine Room is known for their burgers so I was sure she was bound to enjoy whichever one she ordered. We each took a menu and were instantly confused. Martha and I are both pretty smart people and we had both perused the menu over the internet before setting out on our adventure. The problem was we had both failed to scroll down the website far enough to notice the special Sunday Brunch menu. Luckily, we still had two burger options to choose from.
Healthy Appetite
Martha ordered Randy’s Double Stack. It was huge! Two three ounce beef patties with American cheese, happy sauce & bibb lettuce. The burger was so juicy, she couldn’t put it down but declared it delicious between bites. The happy sauce had a note of horseradish, the cheese was gooey, and the lettuce was crispy. It was fantastic. The fries, however, were disappointing. Soggy, cold, and over-peppered. Luckily, the burger was the star of the meal which more than made up for the side act.
