The Jameson Tavern Burger

Hard to Swallow

My burger arrived in a little red plastic basket. It was tasty, but very dry. Yes, I am aware that ordering beef medium well does not allow for a lot of moisture, however I usually do not have a problem swallowing that medium well beef burger. This burger was hard to swallow and might be part of the reason I suffered from acute laryngitis for three weeks following this trip. The fries were soft and needed something, so I added salt. Dan’s eyes practically fell out of his head while he watched me grab the salt shaker. He asked if I knew what I was doing and if I felt alright.

Just Desserts

I rarely order desserts at a restaurant, but I always ask to see the dessert menu. In my experience, restaurant desserts just don’t live up to the hype. They’re often store bought or not fresh, plus they’re often pretty pricey. It’s even more rare that a restaurant might have my all time favorite dessert, a brownie sundae, on the menu. And more rare still, that the brownie would be nut free.

Now, sit down and listen to me squeal like a toddler who can’t control her emotions.

The Jameson Tavern has a brownie sundae on their menu and it has NO NUTS!!!!

So even though I was still full from the hamburger I’d had at lunch nevermind the burger I just ate, I needed to order it.

Brownie Sundae

It. Was. Amazing!!!!

The brownie was warm. The ice cream was cold. Everything was drizzled with chocolate sauce. I even let Dan try a bite, but just a bite because this was my dessert and I don’t share well.
