Viron Rondo Osteria Burger
Double Take
I ordered the exact same burger as Tina, but without all the stuff. In other words, it was plain, cooked medium well with the smallest dollup of ketchup. And I’m glad I couldn’t have all the stuff. Not only because of allergies, but also the tomato and onions on Tina’s burger made for a very juicy burger. I have a ton of food allergies, but I also don’t like food liquid running down my hands. Gross. However, despite not having all that juicy stuff, I’d have to agree with Tina’s description. The VR Burger was fresh and had a better taste and texture than any burger I’ve ever had. Almost like ground steak, but better than steak because I don’t like steak. It was perfectly seated in the perfect brioche bun – buttery and soft and warm. My only negative comment would have to be about the shoestring fries – limp with no salt. I dipped them in ketchup, but they really had no flavor and because they were so soft it was almot like eating actual shoestrings. But, honestly, who cares about the french fries when the burger at a fancy Italian restaurant is amazing.
