A picky eater with lots of allergies reviews a plain burger at MItchells Restaurant.
7oz Cheeseburger
Always a Complainer
Getting lunch at a place known for breakfast is a risk, but it was a risk I was willing to take for the sake of this blog. I ordered the Cheeseburger, but without the cheese of course. It arrived very well done, but was somehow not dry. The beef tasted wet and the texture reminded me of the petri dish of mealworms I had to look at in science class during open house when my daughter was in middle school. I ate the burger, but only because of the bun. A nice bulky roll which was a carb lover’s dream. I also ate the fries, which were hot, but a bit too potatoey. This must be a texture thing, because every time I describe french fries this way, my husband shakes his head and teases me. However, as someone with a ton of allergies, I want the food I can eat to taste the way I want it to and that was not the case at Mitchell’s. I guess one shouldn’t expect an amazing lunch at a place that serves an amazing breakfast.
