A picky eater with lots of allergies and her friend visit Mitchell’s Restaurant
Good Times
Many, many years ago, I belonged to a wonderful group of stay-at-home moms with infants and toddlers called the Moms Club. It was here that I met several fun people and their children including Deborah. She joined the group shortly before I left (my youngest was about to enter kindergarten) and she had big ideas. One of those ideas was to create a fundraiser for the club by hosting a holiday fair featuring moms with at-home businesses. The fair was a success and brought in a ton of money for the club, but unfortunately the mom who took over the following year decided not to do it. That’s the problem with clubs…they’re only good when good people are active and Deborah was one of the very best.
Line At The Door
When I met Deborah at Mitchell’s Restaurant, I was surprised that there was a wait. I’ve eaten at this establishment a few times and the sign always said Seat Yourself, but this day there was a line at the door. The hostess was taking names and Deborah arrived before me, so my wait wasn’t exceptionally long. Mitchell’s is known for their amazing breakfasts which they serve all day. However, they also have a lunch menu, so we thought we’d try it out. When it was our turn to be seated, the peppy hostess led our party of two to a booth by a window. Other diners filled the large airy room and seemed to be enjoying their breakfast orders amidst lively conversation while the waitstaff scurried about serving hot meals and refilling drinks.
