Hotfire Bar and Grill Review – The State of Food
A picky eater and her husband review Hotfire Bar and Grill in Shelburn, MA.

French Dip
Wrapped
Dan ordered French dip. I know you already saw this when you scrolled past his photo. But it’s important. Imagine this: a huge sandwich with roast beef threatening to fall out of every opening and a side of hot savory broth. This sounds delicious. Even to me and I don’t even like it. Now imagine this: you have no plate and you have no silverware, only a plastic wrapped plastic fork. Yes. This sandwich was delivered to Dan wrapped like a to-go order and placed on the table in front of him. Thus the wrapping became the plate. Despite the lack of common tableware, the sandwich was quite flavorful with lots of meat. The coleslaw was good, but needed salt and pepper and there was none on any table. And since I had already asked for ketchup, I felt awkward approaching the bar again which was now full of locals. Overall, the meal was good. Although a plate would have been nice as there was “au jus” everywhere!
