The Ultimate Destination

When my good friend, Lois, suggested grabbing a meal at the Traveler Restaurant I screamed. In a good way. Having never been there, but having passed the sign numerous times while driving on the highway, this restaurant has always been on my list of places to blog about since day one. Their tag line is Food & Books which is basically my tagline on social media (link to facebook), so how could I not scream. I mean, eating a meal while surrounded by books? Heaven. And even better, when you’re done eating, you get to choose any three books to take home with you. For free! How great is that?! I was sure this restaurant would easily rival The Library.

Books

I grinned while reading the menu. Every dish bears the name of a popular title. The menu was difficult to read though, but not because of the font. Because of all the books racked, packed and stacked on the shelves throughout the restaurant. Reading titles, watching people mill about searching for their next great read, some leaning over our table to get a better view of the shelf above, it was difficult to stay focused on the menu. But it didn’t matter. I knew what I’d be getting – a burger like always.
